I teach the fundamentals of instrumental performance (tone, technique, reading, ear training, theory) with an individual approach to students of all ages and levels. Comfortable with both classical and jazz, I have helped students prep for All District, All State, Governor School and College auditions. I have also worked with many adults reconnecting with music or just starting an instrument for the first time.
Former students have gone on to study music at the New England Conservatory of Music, Berklee College of Music, NYU School of Music, Manhattan School of Music, UNCG Miles Davis Jazz Program, UNC Chapel Hill, Duke University, Depauw University, SUNY Purchase and the University of Vermont.
In 2012, 8 of my students were selected to participate in All State, All District, Symphonic and Wind Ensembles as well as the All State and All District Jazz Bands.
